Mining uses heat in a lot of different ways. Australia ranks first in the Top 10 mining countries worldwide based on market value according to the Financial Times Global 500 list. It ranks second and third, respectively, in the top gold and uranium-producing nations. The United States Geographical Survey pegs Australia’s 2013 gold production at 255 MT, while 11 percent of the world’s uranium mines, a total production level of 6,350 tons, was also a by-product of the various operations.
The ThermalEx range of IECEx and ATEX certified hazardous area heaters are currently available with Ex ‘d’ certification for Zone 1, Group I and IIb + H2 with IP66 certified waterproof terminal boxes.
Servicing and installation are made easier due to special sealing customisation to prevent moisture ingress and can be replaced individually and easily on site by using double-bite compression fittings.
We design and manufacture heating ovens/rooms to meet your exact specifications. Thermal ovens/rooms ensure efficiency and provide maximum insulation. An electronic temperature control, programmable timer, and a fan-forced recirculated heated air system guarantees maximum performance. Heating several drums at the same time is possible through thermostatic heating between 30℃ – 110℃, 24 hours a day.

Mine workers risk their lives by exposing themselves to molten metal splash and extreme weather. Firefighters are enveloped both in water and flames, while those in other emergency services spend their lives getting from one place to another, exposed to harmful environments such as storms and floods. Much work has been done to maximise the longevity of their protective clothing in order to withstand such conditions. In some cases, however, their durability is neglected.
Thermal’s Drysafe Industrial Drying Cabinet guarantees safety in drying any type of heavy duty clothing such as fireman’s coats, forklift duffel coats to skiers parkas. The 240V 2400W cabinet comes with a 1m long lead and 3 pin plug. It is 2000mm high x 1000mm wide x 600mm deep fitted with two front doors. Clothes are hung and suspended above an electric heating element.
The electric Drysafe Industrial Drying Cabinet proves more efficient and cost effective than gas-powered dryers. With the doors closed, air is drawn through the base of the drier, over the heater element and through the roof mounted exhaust fan. An optional boot rack is also available.
